About Ani Hope

Hello and welcome to my section of the WWW, where I share whatever my current writing project is. I'm Ani Hope. I’m an eighteen-year-old high-school graduate and I have been writing since I was about nine. I've started many, many (did I mention, many?) novels since then, however, I seem to have a knack for not finishing them. But! Just a few months ago, I did finish, complete and bring to a close a full book. It was a long time coming, but I finally did it and now I'm beginning, just beginning, to feel like I can put myself in the strange and most often times not completely of this world class called, "Writers". I've written a handful of short stories and the lyrics to nearly a hundred songs. I've also written a few poems, but I'd rather not get into what I think of my poetry skills...errr...lack thereof.  

I enjoy writing in many different genres, however I am actually finding I have a passion for action/thriller novels. This has come as somewhat of a surprise to me since I didn't think I was good at it. And perhaps that's not my strongest area in writing, but I do think that it is now my favorite. 

Writing, while perhaps my main one in the hobby area, is not my only interest. I love to be with my family and the small handful of friends I have. I enjoy hospitality, cooking, housekeeping, babysitting (when the babies are sittable, although I do enjoy a challenge now and then), reading and....listening to music. Music is a bigger part of my life than even I realize, I think. 

On this blog, I will post chapters to my book/books as I write them and also put up any short stories, songs, poems, etc. that I may write. I am really just doing this so that friends can see my writing without me having to send it to them or put pressure on anyone to read anything. 

I am still actually fairly new to writing, even though I've been "writing" since I was nine...I didn't know a thing about it until about a year ago. My work is rough most of the time and very amateur, but I've heard that practice makes perfect...and while I don't ever expect to be perfect, I'm not afraid to take the ugly steps it takes to get there. So, practice I do. And this blog is really just a place to share that practice. 

One last thing that is important to know, if you're going to read this stuff, is that I am, first and foremost, a Christian. Meaning, I believe that God (Christ) came to earth, as the Man, Jesus, lived, died, was buried, and rose again to redeem and save mankind of it's sin. And that belief does, I hope, come out in my writing. I don't want to cram it down people's throat and I try not to preach in my work. But it is who I am and I believe that who I am will, and should be, part of what I write. 

A few other things I believe in: Light. The light that only Christ can bring. I believe in light conquering darkness. Because it IS stronger than darkness. I believe in Christ defying what humans call "impossible". I believe in Christ bonding people in ways and to the point that He makes them unbreakable in Him. I believe in hope. The hope in Christ and that being the fuel for this whole earthly life. I believe in love and love being stronger than fear. I believe that God specializes in grace and mercy and knows just how and when to display those in our lives when we need it the most. I believe in beautiful rescues. The beautiful rescues by the perfect rescuer, Jesus Christ. I believe that, while Heaven is the goal, this life is still important. And that this life can be beautiful by the grace of God. And that is it. I believe in taking risks. Because some risks are just worth taking.
